It is made by sintering the fine diamond powder and the cemented carbide matrix at the same time under high pressure and high temperature (about 60,000 atmospheres, 1400-1500℃). The D-D bond between the diamond grains in the polycrystalline diamond layer makes the diamond layer have high hardness, high strength and high wear resistance, and has good self-sharpness.
